Amidst all of the news about Hillary Clinton’s reopened criminal investigation, another very important thing is happening in our nation’s capitol. A case concerning a transgender student has reached the Supreme Court. There have been various smaller tug of wars about transgenders’ rights on the local level (can a student force his or her way into the opposite sex’s bathroom and shower?), but it has not–until now–reached the highest judiciary level.
Possible outcomes for this case (if ruled in favor of the transgender student) could mean that all students must allow boys or girls into their bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers. It could also mean that saying anything in opposition to a transgender person (like even calling a person by their birth name instead of their newly chosen name) could be considered a crime of discrimination. The best case scenario would be that the Court rules in favor of women and children’s safety and affords them the right to have only their biological sex in the same areas in which they will be vulnerable and undressed.
Here, Franklin Graham shares about the landmark case and asks for prayer.
Obviously, if Hillary Clinton is elected, she will pick judges that will rule in favor of the transgender student. We need to pray that God does a miracle in this election.
