North Korea issues a statement following President Trump’s decision to pull out of the June 12.
North Korea’s state run news agency called the decision ‘unexpected’ and not in line with maintaining peace and stability around the world.
It also praised President Trump, saying no U.S. president has ever before seriously addressed the crisis on the Korean peninsula, but said Thursday’s setback shows how severe the current situation is.
It finished the letter suggesting North Korean officials are ready to sit down with U.S. officials once again, in the hopes of resolving any barriers.
